Ahead of November 11th 2023, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello and Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo, the candidate of the All Progressive Congress for Kogi Guber paid a felicitation visit on
Alh Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, the newly crowned Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
Gov. Bello who paid the newly elected Chairman visit in his Abuja office while congratulating him declared total support for the new leadership of the ruling party, saying that Alh. Ganduje’s wealth of experience and leadership qualities as a former two-term Governor of Kano State would do the party a lot of good.
The APC National Chairman in his welcome address appreciates Governor Bello and endorses the candidate of the APC, Alh Usman Ododo as a candidate to beat in the forthcoming Kogi State Governorship election in November.
Governor Ganduje while expressing his support for the candidate, he said "we are first a Nigerian before other things, and hence the choice of who should lead the state should not be solely based on the party interest, but on competency and capacity of the individual to deliver quality leadership to the people, noting that Governor Bello has demonstrated competency and quality leadership for the past 7 years as Governor and that his achievements in Kogi State are outstanding and therefore his foresight in the candidate of Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman is the fact that the candidate has been a part of the foundation laid down by Gov. Bello's administration which he will only come to build on."
Reiterating his commitment to ensuring that APC wins the next Kogi State election coming up in November, Ganduje assured the APC candidate of his willingness to use all the party support systems to achieve landslide victory for him and the party at large.
