FAWWASS organizes free tutorials for Members, charges beneficiaries to take the opportunity seriously.


FairWin Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS) on Sunday kick started free tutorials for members.

The president of the association, Hon. Bilikisu Onumoko said the programme was powered by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajia Habibat Onumoko and it's going to be a continuous program that would run in batches. She said the group is creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where the beneficiaries would be engaged and exposed to real learning.

Those qualified for the program according to the president of the group are members who can neither read nor write, and those with interest to learn the computer.

She charges those who falls in the category to show dedication and take the opportunity seriously.

Hon. Bilikisu said education is the most empowering force in the world as it does not only create knowledge, but also builds confidence and breaks down barriers to opportunities. 
She said the gesture of the Permanemt Secretary is to complement Governor Yahaya Bello's concerted efforts in the state's education sector, noting that Governor Bello's education policies will remain reference points for successive governments in the state.

In their separate "thank you" messages, the beneficiaries acknowledged that education is the gateway to success. They thanked the Permanent Secretary for her empathy and human development initiatives, positing that the Permanent Secretary has been a good ambassador of the new direction government.
They prayed God continue to bless her to enable her touch more lives positively.
