1. Good People of Kogi State, On behalf of The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter, I, comrade Joseph, Ozovehe Barnabas, the capacity PRO of the Council brings aluta greetings on behalf of the entire state executives.
2. Beloved, Today makes it 2 years since we assumed office with promises to add to the numerous achievements of our predecessors in the likes of Elder Haroon Opotu (JP)
Leader Bala U. Ibrahim, Engr.S.B. Emmanuel, Hon. Faruk Mazai, Amb. John Nihi Oladele, Comrade Isreal alonge. Those patriots have in their mighty ways contributed meaningfully to the development of the youths in Kogi State.
3. It has not been an easy task, but by the grace of God we are headed in the right direction and the future is promising judging by the good works and foundation of the current acting Chairman, Comrade Osiako Ezekiel Sunday, and the entire current state executive including all local government coordinators of the Kogi State chapter of National Youth Council of Nigeria is laying.
4. Recall that last week the State Chairman Comrade Usman Ogohi Samuel who is currently facing disciplinary actions was suspended due to financial misappropriation, highhandedness, misuse of office, and other allegations that have not only demeaned the Council but caused disintegration and disunity amongst the youths of Kogi State.
This ushered in Deputy Chairman Osiako Ezekeil Sunday in an acting capacity.
4. Comrade Osiako has shown the willingness and capacity to serve the youths of the state as he is already doing his best by projecting our collective interest and salvaging the council from opportunists and lilliputians who have not only come to destroy the good works of our heroes but to send the council into extinction.
5. Dear Kogi Youths, we beseech you to keep the good spirit high and be good ambassadors to the state as we have always been known to create positive impacts and niches in all spheres of all human endeavors and socio-economic developments.
6. Thank you for your patience as we expect your usual cooperation and meaningful contributions to move our state forward.
7. In turn, we want to appreciate His Excellency, the executive governor of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaya Bello for owing to his words by giving youths a chance to make decisions and contribute to the state by appointing them to various and deserving offices. This is also seen as His Excellency has not failed in providing subsection to both state and local chapters, we promise that henceforth, this shall not be utilized and embezzled by one person but shall be used to add to the value of the state.
