This is to specially welcome each and every one of us to today's solidarity match tagged "One Million Man Match" in honour of the chosen one, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo who by providence and the special grace of Almighty God will take over the mantle of leadership of Kogi State from our mentor, our leader and our father, our benefactor, the White Lion of Africa, Alhaji Doctor Yahaya Adoza Bello the Fourth Executive Governor of Kogi State.
Ladies and Gentlemen , we have gathered here today to observe One Million Man Match to declare our unalloyed support and to sensitize our people on the need for them to come out enmass and cast their votes for APC and Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo in November 11th , 2023 slated for Kogi state governorship election.
Our candidate Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has been tested and trusted. He has the capacity and experience to consolidate on the achievements of His Excellency Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello when he become the governor of Kogi State.
Ladies and Gentlemen, It will interest you to know that Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has served Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello's administration for more than seven years as Kogi State Local Government Auditor General without an iota of indictment or blemish for any financial issue. This has shown how prudent and discipline he is in handling public trust.
He is humane and has enormous fear of God. He is a rare politician who believe in sharing whatever he has with the downtrodden. No wonder instead of investing or saving his money in the banks he decided to built and equipped a cottage hospital at Upogoro to take quality healthcare to the door steps of his people.
Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has built bridges outside his immediate community of Upogoro as he is the only politician in Governor Yahaya Bello's cabinet that went outside his local government area to construct road for people.
He used his personal resources to construct road in Adavi local government area even when he is known to be from Okene local government area. This singular act of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has proved to us that if he becomes Kogi State Governor , his projects will cut across the entire State.
In the area of education, the APC Governorship candidate has compliment Governor Yahaya Bello's effort in upliftment of education by providing financial assistance in form of scholarship to many indigent students studying in various tertiary institutions across the country.
Not satisfy with that , he sponsored the printed of over twelve thousands copies of Chemistry and Physics textbooks which was distributed to all secondary schools across the three senatorial districts of the state. This effort has also proved to us that Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is not a tribalize leader.
Again , his empowernment programme has benefited many youth and women in Kogi State. Today many of them have sources of livelihood which has invariably reduce drastically youth restiveness associated to idleness and lack of jobs.
Ladies and Gentlemen , if Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo can reach out to Kogi people even when he is not a Governor then it is crystal clear that if given the mandate to govern the state , he will take Kogi State to enviable infrastructural development through the laudable foundation already laid by His Excellency Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello.
I therefore passionately soliciting your support and votes for our candidate , the APC candidate comes November 11 slated for the conduct of the governorship election.
I am aslo appealing to those who are yet to collect their Permanent Voters Card (PVCs) to do so while those who have reached voting age should endeavor to go to INEC when it is time to enable them register for their PVCs ahead of the governorship election because your power to vote lay in the PVCs and that is the only way we can actualize our mission.
We should all come out to vote not fight on that day.
