Ododo/Oyibo 2023: FAWWASS Embarks on Road Walk Campaign In Okene, Solicits Votes For APC Candidate.
FairWin Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS) on Sunday embarked on a solidarity road walk in Okene to canvass votes for the Flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for November 11 election, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The road walk led by the President of the group, Hon. Bilikisu Onumoko, kickstarted From GRA Okene and ended at the Okene Local Government Secretariat.
Hon. Bilikisu said they embarked on the solidarity road walk in Okene to demonstrate their support for the governorship candidate, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo and his running mate Oyibo Salifu Joel, and also, to solicit votes for the candidate.
Hon. Bilikisu said the APC party is the biggest political party in the country, urging the people of Ebiraland to vote for Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo as the next Governor of the state.
She said Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo will continue to improve on the legacy projects of Governor Yahaya Bello, if elected.
Her words,
"The people of Kogi State must get it right again like they did in 2015 and in 2019."
"Today in Kogi State, there's University in each of the Senatorial District. There are hospitals and good roads across the state.This government is fair to all. These legacies must be sustained. This is why we must think Alh Alhmed Ododo for Continuity and Consolidations."
At the Secretariat where Alh. Ahmed Kashim in company of the House of Assembly Member, Okene II, Hon. Zakari Yusuf a.k.a Nescafe, received FAWWASS, Alh. Ahmed Kashim hailed the group's doggedness and consistency. He said the group's outing has given a boost to the popularity of the APC candidate in the state, affirming that the FAWWAT remained a formidable group. He charged the leadership of the group to continue front the mandate of the APC.
Also speaking, Hon. Zakari Yusuf implored the group to continue to show political Will and Capacity and prayed Allah grant long life to Hajia Habibat Onumoko who founded the group. According to him, one could only cordinate such large gathering of people through patience, honesty and transparency.
