Adjudged most formidable support group of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, FairWin Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS) on Wednesday grounded Kogi State as they embarked on one million-man-march in the state.
Hajia Habibat Onumoko, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, who is the Chief Host of the event told newsmen that, the program was to shore up support for the APC candidate, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo and his running mate, Oyibo Salifu Joel, describing Alh. Ododo and Mr. Joel as men of impeccable character.
She expressed optimism that Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo remains the best Candidate to take over from the incumbent governor, His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello.
Members of FAWWASS in their usual gestures were decked out in different outfits bearing the pictures of the APC Candidate, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo and symbols of the party.
The solidarity work which kicked off at the Agassa Junction in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi Central Senatorial district attracted thousands of supporters from the twenty one local areas of the state.
Hajia Habibat said Alh. Ododo remains the best bet for Kogi State in 2023.
She further advises parents and leaders of influence in the society to prevail on their children, wards and proteges against being used by desperate politicians to disrupt the existing peace in Ebiraland.
She said, " Governor Yahaya Bello is a democrat who believes in the rule of law. You must therefore only get involved in things that would move our state forward. Caution you children and those under you guidance".
Also speaking at the event was the State Party Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Bello. He called on the people to shun any sentiment and give their maximum support to the winning team, which is the All Progressives Congress, saying the party's track record in the state is unbeatable.
He further commended the Chief Host of the event, Hajia Habibat Onumoko for her hard work and interest in the development of the State.
Other dignitaries who attended the event were the chairmen of Okene, Ogori/Magongo and Ajaokuta Local Government Areas, APC Kogi Central Zonal Chairman, Kogi State House of Assembly Speaker, SSA Hajia Aisha Omada, Hajia Asmau Gogo, Alh. Ibrahim Ahovi, Hon. Yakubu Adabenege Fancy, party executives from State and Local Government Levels, House of Assembly members for Adavi and Okene II, Jammat Ebira/Hausa Association of Kogi State led by their President, Alh. Usman Isah and many others.
