Adjudged most formidable support group of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, FairWin Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS), yesterday unveiled campaign materials for Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman (OAU), the APC Governorship Candidate for November 11 election in the state.
Speaking during the event, founder of the group, Hajia Habibat Onumoko (Permanent Secretary in the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs) reiterated the unwavering support of the group to ensure that Alh. Ododo is elected to succeed His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State.
According to her, antecedents is germane to garner supports for maximum victory in politics. She said the women in the three senatorial districts of Kogi State have meritoriously placed Alh. Ododo as the most competent and most prepared Candidate to take over mantle of leadership of the State from Alh. Yahaya Bello.
Hajia Habibat also explained that there's a provision in the law that allows electorates to transfer their voter's card to any state of their choice within Nigeria. She appealed to the members of the group to persuade their people living outside Kogi State to transfer their voter's cards home to enable them exercise their franchise and vote for the APC Candidate for Consolidations and more gains of democracy in Kogi State.
In his address, Prince Sunday Ehimoni hailed the group for their outstanding performances over the years. He maintained that the group has reached a point that it can not be waved aside by any serious party or government. Prince Ehimoni said he's happy seeing every member of the group with PVC, noting that there is no way party faithfuls would actualize Ododo's project without PVC.
Prince Ehimoni also announced that Alh. Ododo has extended gesture of goodwill to the members of the group to boost their businesses, assuring them further, that more dividends of democracy will come to them.
Also at the event was Hon. Yusuf Ohikwura, Treasurer of Kogi Local Government Area.
