Mr. Olayinka who appealed to the youths to rally support for him says the Governorship race is not an ambition but assignment which his score card over time should earn him the seat as the next Governor of Kogi State.
The Governorship Candidate assured the Speaker that upon his emergence as the Governor of the state, areas like Job and Wealth Creation, Youths Empowerment, Culture and Tourism will be his priorities.
He stated further that Kogi State is blessed with sufficient mineral resources that have not been adequately put to good use but when he is elected into power, Kogi developmental strides will be top notch.
"We will invite foreign investors to come and invest in our landmark. When our economy starts booming, we will no longer wait for Federal Government allocation to develop our state because our IGR will be enough to run the affairs of the state".
Mr. Olayinka noted that if the State is developed and have tourist centres, foreign investors and tourist will come and invest in the economy of the state and by so doing, more jobs and employment opportunities will be available to the youths of the state.
The Speaker in his response, appreciated the Governorship Candidate for finding him worthy to consult ahead of the Governorship election.
"this consultation means a lot to me. The youths of the state are no longer living in the old but have decided to be a force to reckon with. We can no longer be deceived by our so called leaders who have refused to allow the youths to take over".
"Also, personally i want to appreciate you for the good gesture and donation made towards my community development, Isanlu and the school fees paid for our students in tertiary institutions that cuts across schools in Kogi State. This and many more that you've done is laudable and i must commend you on that Your Excellency."
"Whoever that will succeed His Excellency, Gov Yahaya Bello should be somebody that has vision and mission as the Governor. He must be somebody that is ready to consolidate on the legacy projects of the present Government. We can not afford to take a wrong decision in the next Governorship election".
"As the Speaker of Kogi State Youth Parliament, i work with my conscience and conviction, with all what you have said, i know they are achievable and as such, I'm convinced that you will make a good Governor if elected."
"The Youths are still warming up while the various Governorship Candidates are doing consultation, we will be organising parley where the youths will be listening to you and other candidates. We will want to know what you intend to do and how you intend to go about it."
Regardless of political party, the youths will be voting with their conscience, their choice and their votes will count.
The Speaker also noted that, the 25 members of the parliament are grass root mobilizers in their various constituencies and they are politically conscious.
Rt. Hon Ibikunle Olajide urged the Governorship Candidate to continue to do more for the youths as many many youths sees him as a role model in politics.
