Confluence Unity Movement (CUM) breaks silence today as the group stormed Kogi Central, visiting all the traditional rulers to unveil the group's plans towards the success of Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo in the forthcoming 2023 gubernatorial election in the state.
The group said the government of His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello remain a Unity government that gives equal right to all citizens of the state, expressing optimism that Governor Bello's successor will consolidate on his tremendous achievements.
Part of CUM mission statement reads;
"Our mission is how our Royal father's in Kogi state will preach the essence of unity of purpose that will enhance the government of the day to build more on good legacies and; how the youths can be engaged politically, since it is part of the prayers of a father to a child to have a child that will rise above him in goodness and we are seeing the light of the prayer manifesting in our pursuit.".
Visits were made to the palaces of His Royal Highnesses in Ajaokuta, Okene, Okehi, Adavi and Ogori/Magongo.
In the same vain, the group pay visit to Kogi Central Traders Union, Ohize/A.T Ahmed group, Okada Union, Drivers union (NURTW), NULGE and NUT.
The president of the group Mall Ilyas Okuji said the remarks from the Royal fathers and all the groups visited remains that Confluence Unity Movement has started a political cause that has never been in existence.
