Clerk of Kogi State House of Assembly Receives Kogi Youth Parliament

The office of the Clerk of the Kogi State House of Assembly on 9 May 2023 received in audience the Kogi State Youth Parliament to discuss possible areas of partnerships and collaborations with the State House of Assembly for the overall development of the State.
The Clerk of the Assembly, Alh. Chogudo Sule Ahmed receiving the members of the Youth Parliament led by their Speaker, Rt. Hon. Ibikunle Olajide assured Kogi Assembly's readiness to work with the youths in the state by engaging them in all matters that affects them directly or indirectly.
Hon. Chogudo said he is conscious of the youths role in the development of the society.

In his statement, Rt. Hon. Babajide said that the purpose of their visit to the Chief Administrative head of the Assembly was to intimate him about their activities and tap from his wealth of experience.
According to him the Nigeria Youth Parliament is a training ground for young people to understand the workings of the legislature, established by Late President Umar Musa Yaradua in 2008 because of the importance of youth inclusion in governance.
The Desk Officer of the Parliament, Mr. Bashir Umar, thanked Alh. Chogudo for receiving the Parliamentarians and assured him that relevant documents through the Office of Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development would be submitted to the State Assembly. He expressed confidence that under the tutulege of the State House of Assembly, Kogi State Youth Parliament is committed to working with the new House of Assembly members-elect to drive Kogi's developmental agenda.
